Photos from Saturday's race are here. Tony Stewart ran a good race and ended up winning, which was pretty cool, since we had seats right near his pit box. The crowd had the same local flavor as always, just at a lower density since we went to the Saturday race. I still find it amazing how the whole place would stand and cheer every lap that Junior led. I also found it amazing just how fast the cars run, even with restrictor plates and smaller engines. The initial green flag of the race still gives me goosebumps when the engines fire up to 8500 RPM and they go screaming by. I come home covered with track boogers, dirt, and sweat, and was completely beat, but it's such a blast!
I also took a few small videos with my camera, and I'll see what I can do to get them up and running on the site too.
